About Nandi

Welcome to AIS Science! It is a huge pleasure to be part of the AIS community again this year! Science is one of my ultimate passions and I look forward to teaching you all about the natural (and manmade) wonders of our planet Earth. My classes all focus on three core ideas: creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Please, at any point, do not be shy to come say! My doors are always open and I love to sit and chat about what's on your mind. :)

I am originally from Yuma, Arizona, United States. Growing up in a small desert town, particularly as someone who hates the heat, was an adventure. I got my Bachelor of Science in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Go Wildcats! Since then, I have worked in various areas of research: native agriculture conservation, seed ecology, fungal ecology/evolution, and endangered shorebird and tortoise conservation. Ever since I entered the classroom to teach, I found what I truly love to do!
